As a company, GelPro has one goal in mind, they want to make sure the time you spend standing is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Since their products offer the best-of-class ergonomic solutions and health benefits, they wanted to launch an appreciation program for teachers, first responders, and military members to help make their lives a little more comfortable. In 2015, GelPro teamed up with SheerID to offer exclusive discounts to these markets. Kent, the Vice President of Marketing at GelPro, took a few minutes to tell us the benefits GelPro has seen since launching eligibility verification.

Why did GelPro need an eligibility verification solution?

We appreciate our military, first responders, and teachers for the hard work they put in day in and day out, so it was important for our company to show our support by offering discounts. Although we always try to take people at their word, it is important for us to be able to verify that the individuals we are providing a significant “thank you” discount to, are truly a part of the aforementioned public service sectors.

What were the goals of your military, first responder, and teacher appreciation programs? Have you met those goals?

I think the SheerID program has worked precisely as described when we initiated the program. Our goal was to provide the gift of comfort via our comfort flooring products at a discounted rate for verified members of the military, first responders, and teachers. We have definitely met that objective.

Since we have seen success with our current appreciation programs, we believe there are more sectors that we could offer discounts to with SheerID’s eligibility verification.

What kind of response have you received from the military, teacher, and first responder communities (results can be quantitative or anecdotal)?

Anecdotally, we have received tremendous response from the members of those service sectors. They have all been appreciative of the discounted rate we are offering. We regularly receive correspondence from all of our customers, not just those in those sectors, about the often life-changing impact our GelPro and NewLife comfort floor mats have on their lives. This is gratifying to hear.

What are 3 benefits you’ve experienced from using SheerID’s verification?

I think there have been tremendous benefits, including:

(1) spot on verification in a fast, efficient manner
(2) the ability to offer a discount to the military, teachers and first responders
(3) heightened visibility to those communities

What is on the horizon for GelPro? Do you have any exciting new products or programs in the works?

We pride ourselves in being an innovative company. Our mission is to continue to develop, market, and sell innovative products in the comfort product category. We already offer both residential and commercial comfort flooring solutions; as well as products for operating rooms and other areas of the hospital.
