Which SheerID Client is One of Apparel Magazine’s Top Innovators of 2017?

At SheerID, we work hard everyday to help our clients better connect with special markets like the military, students, and teachers. With our eligibility verification in place, our clients can show their support for these communities through offering deeper discounts than ever before. Recently our client, The Buckle, was recognized as one of Apparel Magazine’s Top Innovators of 2017 for their work with the military community. Here’s a little insight into the program they created to benefit their military customers:

The Buckle, a denim and casual apparel retailer, has always been a proud champion of the military community and has show their support in various ways including sending care packages overseas, donating portions of the proceeds from select items to military non-profits, and offering an everyday exclusive military discount.

In years past, The Buckle was only able to offer their military discount in-stores where they could verify a valid military status from a military ID, but with a growing percentage of online purchases, Buckle needed a secure way to verify their customers military status online. With SheerID’s eligibility verification in place, Buckle customers can seamlessly verify their military status once and the 10% discount is applied to all purchases made online moving forward.

Partnering with SheerID has also helped Buckle to offer exclusive promotions around military holidays. For example, in 2014, military guests received a free t-shirt when they spent $100 or more on Affliction, American Customs, or Sinful branded merchandise, in addition to their regular 10% military discount. Military verifications were up 60% during the week before and the week after Veterans Day, compared to the previous two weeks. In 2016, Buckle created another Veterans Day offer exclusively for the military community. For a limited time, military customers received free shipping, in addition to the everyday military discount of 10%.
