LEGOLAND Florida Resort is a multi-day vacation destination located in Winter Haven, Florida. Since it opened in October 2011, millions of guests have enjoyed its more than 50 rides, shows, attractions, restaurants, shops, and a breathtaking botanical garden.
Challenge
LEGOLAND Florida Resort needed a way to bring their special ticket pricing for military members online without having to worry about fraud. Prior to SheerID, Military families could not pre-purchase military tickets online, which made it difficult for many off-base members to purchase tickets ahead of time.
Solution
After implementing a military verification solution hosted by SheerID, LEGOLAND Florida Resort introduced an exclusive online promotion for service members – up to 25% off tickets, plus a second day free. Although the verification page is hosted by SheerID, LEGOLAND Florida Resort’s branding remains consistent throughout the customer journey, providing ticket buyers with a seamless customer experience.
Upon successfully verifying their eligibility, military customers are redirected to a unique LEGOLAND Florida Resort ticketing page where they can complete their transaction.
Benefits
SheerID’s military eligibility verification prevented customers who did not serve in the military from purchasing the military package. During the spring of 2016:
- 28% of people who attempted to redeem the military offer failed to meet LEGOLAND Florida Resort’s eligibility criteria.
- LEGOLAND Florida Resort received an ROI of $27 for every $1 spent on verification.
Military engagement also increased after the offer was introduced online.
